PlayHT has an api and ability to respond in a trained voice from a text string. Someone mentioned this could be used to create the perfect C-3PO voice response.
I guess the output of the ChatGPT string would go to PlayHT which would then speak on the robot?
Anyone up to making a Skill to use the service?
You know, we actually had started creating a robot skill for that service and reached out to them. However, at the time the price was really high, like $30 or $40 monthly so we determined it's not a worthwhile investment. If it's something you're willing to use, I can add it to the list to be revisited. I know we have OpenAI Whisper almost finished - i think it is scheduled for the next week or two.
