Orange Pi Zero 2W

We've used Raspberry Pi 4s with the ARCx testing and development. Recently, I was wondering how a Raspberry Pi Zero 2 would perform. The Zero 2 is a 64-bit CPU, which is what ARCx requires. So it won't run on a regular Zero 1.

I was just about to order a Zero 2 when I saw this Orange Pi Zero 2W.

The specs are pretty impressive! Given the size, it'll fit easily into a robot with an additional servo controller if this works. This is the perfect opportunity for a new EZB v4-type controller without the communication board. If "someone" (hint jer) were to create a single board PCB with a ton of I/O and a USB connection, it would be perfect. Wonder how small the two could be?

For the price, i gotta order one of these just to see how well ARCx performs.

ARCx runs in 1GB RAM? Are you kidding me? What are we supposed to do with all these expensive bulky battery sucking 8GB SBC we have been using in our robots?

Even Windows ARC is very memory-light. I usually see only 200 megs of RAM in most of my projects.

Use more AI and vision stuff with eight GB. Or you might want to continue using Windows if you're not comfortable with Linux. Orange Pi will not run Windows, as it's linux only

ARCx will run on a small RAM footprint, but robot skills may use more. Most robot skills won't, but if you're using lots of AI and such, you could consume quite a bit.

I'm a guy that likes quick boot up of the OS into ARC. Also quick response when I'm remoting in if I don't have a monitor attached to the SBC (attached to the EZB's using USB).
