MG995 Servo Compatibility Issues

Hello everyone,

For those of us using the MG995 servos, there's been a noticeable change to these units. The circuit board is now significantly larger and is positioned on top of the motor. As a result, this modification causes compatibility issues with EZ-Robot components, which no longer fit as expected.

Here's a visual comparison to illustrate the changes:

Is anyone else experiencing this? Any suggestions or workarounds would be appreciated!

That sucks. With your wicked 3D design skills can you make a change to the STL, reprint and make it work? It looks like there was just a slight change.

Not sure if that's possible. I know nothing about STL's, editing them or even 3D printing.

Good luck. let us know how it works out.

Also remember that those servos are not standard. There are thousands of manufacturers of those servos because they’re all knockoffs of each other. The original design wouldn’t have changed because it makes the servo incompatible with existing hobby projects. So the version you have must be one of the thousand of knockoffs where they changed the design.
