Lost In Space B9 Robot Arm Rail Upgrade! Hall Effect Sensor Limit Switches

I'm upgrading the arms in my Lost In Space B9 Robot. One thing I need to improve is get better feedback to the Sabertooth Motor Controller that controls the motor that sends the arm in and out of the torso on a carriage. I've decided to add Hall effect limit switches at one end of travel due to space limitations. In this video I show how these are going to work.  I hope you enjoy!

Thanks EZAng, When I was researching Hall Effect switches to find out what I needed I had came across these. They really helped me learn what it was all about and how they worked.  It's good that you listed them here.

Whoa that is so cool. There needs to be more videos of your robot. It has so many features and stuff that no one would ever guess!

Thanks DJ! I appreacheate your kind words.

Actually I have about 100 videos of me building a couple of B9 robots. Mostly of this one, my personal one. In many of them I show in depth how things work that I've built into these robots. Also I show how ARC (or back in the day, ARC) brings him to life. However I've done a lot of upgrades and additions sense some of the earlier ones were shot.  So you're correct, Once I finish this round of improvements I really need to do a single video of how he functions now.
