I don't think those provide voltage for longer than a couple of seconds. They have a timeout; at least mine does. It only provides voltage for a few seconds to start a vehicle, then it shuts off. Also, mine detects if there's already voltage; if there isn't, you have to press and hold a safety button. Because it checks for a bit of voltage in an almost-dead battery to ensure it's connected correctly.

So I don't think it'll work - but check their manual and see if that safety feature I described exists in those models.

Thanks for the reply. I see some have a    12v/10A    3.5mm plug output. Wonder if that would give a constant voltage? Anyone one else?

Check their manuals online for the product and see if it's constant voltage. It should say that there might be a timeout and/or a button that needs to be held to activate if no voltage is detected

I have one of those. You can force it to stay on because it has a USB port output for charging.

I'll test it out tonight!

Speaking about alternative ways to power the EZ-B, is it possible to give power to the EZ-B or IO-Tiny through the battery charging cable? I have never tried this. Looking at the charger itself, it outputs 12 volts. Since the EZ-B and IO-Tiny don't regulate voltage for servos, this could theoretically damage the servos. From what I've read, the EZ-B at least, can handle a minimum of 4 volts, and a maximum of 20. But again, servos.

My apologies for the delay. I finally got around to testing it and the good news is that it does indeed work!

I've had the booster powering an EZ-B for the last hour. I'm using the 12V out but you could also use the 5VUSB out. The booster is designed to charge your phone in an emergency so I surmised that it should be able to stay on until it runs out of juice.

To hook it up I just needed a 2.1mm Male barrel plug to 2.1mm Male barrel plug.

@WiinterU Yes you can indeed power the EZ-B with a 12V AC-DC wall adapter but you are absolutely correct. You can't hook up the EZ-Robot servos to the I/O pins because they are rated to a max of 8.4V. Powering the servos with 12V would damage them. The EZ-Bv4 itself can be powered up from 4.5 to 16VDC.

Ah nice. It has a 2.1mm barrel jack? Mine doesn’t have any like that. It only outputs 12v from the jumper cables. But they don’t get power unless you press and hold the button
