Multiple Cameras Not Working

Does anyone else have an issue getting an external USB camera to work when the computer also has a built-in camera? The internal camera will work, but external cameras will not. I have tried disabling the internal camera, so that there is only one option- but I still don't see any video in ARC. I have verified that the camera works with other applications.

Also, in ARC builds previous to 11-29-2011, I could cause a software crash by selecting the external camera and clicking the configuration button. That issue seems to be resolved with the current build.

If it matters, I have tested this with two different PCs. The USB camera is an HP USB 2MP camera, model RZ406AA. The integrated microphones on the camera do work with ARC, btw.

Are you connecting the external camera into the computer before you load the Camera control?

I have about 15 cameras here, and they all work. Simply select the camera from the drop down. If it doesn't appear, then it must have been inserted into the computer while the Camera Control was already loaded. You can either re-load the camera control or press the Refresh button.

It shows up in the camera control- selecting it causes nothing to happen. It may just be a crappy camera- I bought it used off eBay, and its Amazon reviews are dismal...but Flash can get an image out of it for video conferencing. It seems to work in Windows, just not ARC. I'm not too worked about it though- if its a tested configuration, the problem must be on my side. Thanks!
