Windows Version

My school is going to buy me some EZ Robots for my classroom, however we have computers running Windows 7. The website specifies Windows 8.1 or higher. I was wondering if anyone knows what might not work. Is anyone running Windows 7 with ARC?

ARC requirements, at the time of this writing, is windows 8 minimum. While windows 7 "may" run, I do not believe all features will be available. Windows 7 has been discontinued by Microsoft and is no longer supported by Microsoft. This means any new libraries or features developed for newer operating systems will not work on windows 7. If ARC were to be windows 7 compatible, we would not be able to offer any new features for artificial intelligence, machine learning, and vision processing.

While ARC is a free download from this website, you can try it. Do remember that not all features will work, and ezrobot will not be able to support any customer inquiries.

My recommendation for both compatibility of new features AND security of your institution is to upgrade to at least windows 8. Although windows 10 is cost effective and offers increased performance.
