Here is My question and I may not be understanding the Wifi is the controller the Wifi ,or does it link to an existing network and use its wifi ? This makes a difference because of what i was planing to use the controller for which is outdoors away from any network
The ezb4 has to be connected to wifi at all times to work.... That wifi can be directly from your PC (WP Mode) or through your network router (client mode).... Think of the ezb4 as a wireless controller except it uses wifi instead of something like Bluetooth... If you are going to use it outdoors you will either have to be within wifi range of your network or have an PC on board or close by your robot (connected directly to your ezb4 in WP mode)
See here for further details EZB4 wifi modes
thank you thats what i was afraid of . It wont work for my application its is not mobile enough for my project
wait if its in Ap mode it can just link to a phone or tablet as well?
Yes, you can use a mobile android or IOS device.... Not all the features of Windows ARC are there (you'll have to play with the mobile version to check) but it will do well... Another alternative is you use a windows tablet or mini pc like the Latte Panda or Kangaroo.... Both the latter options are cheap and will run ARC quite well as a "headless system"...
the initial build for my project and function will be fairly simple its more of a proof of concept so this should be great. Thank you very much
No worries, you're welcome.... Let us know how you get on with your project...
