Serial Gps, Wired

I'd like to connect a wired serial GPS to my EZ board (got the GPS Module PMB-648: https://learn.parallax.com/kickstart/28500).

Is far as I understand it isn't yet possible to read a series of data/text/chars via the digital port and setting the read baud rate. Am I right?

Your link is not working. I believe the baud rate is 9600 that serial communications is set at.
