Hello!
I am using ARC on a Raspberry Pi 4 running Windows 11. The RPLidar A1 function starts automatically as soon as the USB from the Lidar is plugged in. The Lidar motor spins, but I receive the following error message: "Timeout at receiving descriptor for get health, unable to get lidar health." As a result, no points are plotted. Do you know why this is happening?

Can you provide more information about how you have the unit connected and wired to your raspberry pi? It sounds as if the data is not being received.
hi, I connected the RPlidar to the Raspberry PI 4 in both config and both are not working
config 1: RPI Usb port - USB-microusb connection cable- switching module -wires- RPLIDAR A1
config2 : RPlidat to RPI
:)thanks
The USB adapter and built-in UART on the Pi may require RTS enabled. We have updated the RP Lidar A1 robot skill to include options for enabling the RTS. Please the updated robot skill and visit the settings to verify the baudrate and rts is enabled.
Tried with ARC installed in the laptop , function is working, I installed v17 and USB-UART driver https://www.silabs.com/developers/usb-to-uart-bridge-vcp-drivers?tab=downloads, I am going to do the same on RPI , thanks !
solved! thanks
