Roli H-Bridge Isses

Hello, I received my Roli and while the EZB and servos work correctly, the motors do not move. I have checked and re-checked the following:

Fuse, ok Wiring per example, ok red light on h-bridge, on switch for h-bridge, down voltage input to the h-bridge, ok (as labeled) pwm slider on, when attempting to move

I've followed the other threads and it seems others are having this issue as well.

It is possible the h-bridge is defective?

On the H-bridge, is the red power wire plugged into the +5 or the VCC pin? It should be on VCC, some came mis-wired to +5. I believe the LED will come on in that configuration, but nothing will work. (see this thread: https://synthiam.com/Community/Questions/6809&page=2)

If it is wired to VCC, then it is certainly possible that you have a bad H-bridge, in which case use the "contact us" page and I am sure EZ-Robot will take care of you.

Have you moved the PWM slider before trying to move the robot? PWM needs to be initialised first, which means moving the slider so that it sets the PWM or using a script to initialise the PWM.

Slide the slider Let it go at about half way Press a direction on the control Does it move?

Do any other LEDs light up on the H-Bridge when you try moving the robot? There are LEDs for each In1 to In4 which should light up when the In pin is high.

Hey thanks! That did the trick, the h-bridge red wire was on +5, not vcc.

Great! Glad you didn't need to wait for a replacement. Enjoy your Roli!
