Robie Sr Mod
Hello, was wondering what would be a great way of modding my Robie Sr. I’ve seen all the builds but I am looking for a mod for beginners. Would like to also add google voice on to the. Robot as well as moving arms and a camera for seeing. I sound like a noob, but would like to get my project Hoping you all can get me to the right direction.
Oh man, i have a robie jr sitting in my office right now.
It's pretty easy to start with - but i'd suggest beginning with an EZ-Robot EZ-B v4 controller - ideally the developer kit. You can choose to go the arduino route, but that gets complicated with lots of wiring because the boards are designed well for plug'n'play of servos. Also the boards don't support audio or video... so that limits the robot's capabilities.
To use the existing hardware, an HBrdige can be used to control the motors. This lets you keep the gearbox without having to change anything.
