Hello friends , I will make an red pepper harvesting robot for my graduation project. It is my homework to graduate .
The robot should be able to pick red vegetables from a garden and leave the green or yellow ones. It should perform this task autonomously and without damaging the plant. The Robot will go in a garden , When it detects rep pepper , the robotic arm will grasp the pepper and then cut the stem of pepper, then put the pepper in the basket.
I think I will use 4 axis robotic arm, one or two distance sensor and camera to detect red pepper .

Which distance sensor should I use ?
what are you recommend me about this project ?
Does anyone has some experience about a project like this ?
