Question With Connecting Ez-B V4 To Robot Body

Hi,

I received a Revolution JD kit for Christmas and am now trying to assemble the robot. When I tried to plug the ez-b brain into the body, it wouldn't connect. By "connect" I mean the two pieces won't plug, or fit, together. Upon examining the units I noticed that one of the two connecting wires (it looks like a copper wire in a little red square) seems to be bent over, which appears to prevent the two pieces from connecting together. I'm guessing that's the cause of the problem, but that's what it appears to be. What should I do?

Thanks,

Robert Borowski

#1

Use some needle nose pliers and straighten the bent tang back to a vertical position.

#2

Bend the pins back straight but be careful not to break them off.

#3

Straighten the pin which is bent carefully. Place the EZb on the base and be sure the pins line up with the slots, and press them together. The friction of the pins, and plastic legs holds the two pieces together.

Thank you Robot and Maze and Andy. I carefully straightened the pin and now the robot works.
