My JD Humanoid is shared a lot with different people at different places. During workshops with kids, inspiration sessions with companies and during the rest of the time at a publicly open space where anybody can discover the robot by themselves (Permanent Future Lab, a place where tech is being shared). Things brings challenges along. Especially related to preventing it from damage. Of course I don't want any damage, so I was wondering about the following: A- Are there ways to soften JD from falling? Any protectors I should know of? (e.g. with ninjaflex, foam, smth else?) B- Did someone protect external the pins of the brain (the chip on the back) already? If, so how? (they bend quite easily) C- The neck flips out sometimes when it does actions on the ground. Is it a good idea to prevent that from happening?

Thanks for your input!:)

PS My idea was to 3D print a special case for the pins, or use adapted jumpers, but maybe there are already better ideas out there.

That is pretty awesome Alan. Thanks for pointing out! Will work on that backpack for sure. With this point A and B are tackled, thanks!

Point A: bubble wrap? Paint it and glue it to strtigic places.

Guess I'm a bad father - my jd lives in a backpack... Or a suit case wrapped in tshirts haha

Back in the day when we only had prototypes, the robots were in pelican style cases with foam cut to the dimension. You could do that! And it will look real cool opening a case with a robot inside in foam:)

haha, yeah maybe..... Trying to improve my father skills everyday and learning by your experience on this at this space. Totally awesome:)

The pelican style case is a great one. Saying this, i remember seeing the Nao Robots in these cases too. Will look into that for sure!

@Dave: haven't thought of bubble wrap before, nice one!
