New Project

I have been struggling with one of my projects recently and wanted to now some of your experiences with the revolution six robot and how you've modified i'm working on making mine a quadruped with a neck and a camera on the end of the neck. let me now any ideas or stories you have. my biggest problem would be teaching the robot how to walk who new it would be so hard to walk.

Hi @samshepp1105, and welcome to the forum. I don't have much to add as I've never really changed the configuration of my Six.

That said, I will be using some of its servos to convert a robot dog, and will be facing the same challenge as you to get him walking as good as possible. That will involve watching a few videos of robot quadrupeds walking, and having a good play about with the Auto Positioner control in ARC. I'll be sharing my work in my showcase so keep an eye on my updates as you might find something useful.

What you will probably want it to walk one leg at a time for better stability. The more natural right front left and rear, then switch walking gait side, will probably be a bit more unstable, unless you can get it to walk quick enough. Trial and error I guess.

Anyway, good luck, and I'd be interested to see what you come up with.

I just remembered, there's the Galapagos bot sold here in the store that has four legs. Check the website or YouTube videos of it moving to give you an idea of what's needed, and check the EZ-Cloud for Galapagos project examples.
