How To Use Motor As A Servo

Hey @dj, can I add a DC motor with Bridge to auto position? As per my project description the neck of walle has 8 motors (5 servos and 3 DC motor with encoder make to work like a servo) so how can I configure it in ARC? Also will I able to add it in autoposition?

@Synthiam Support Team,

I hope you’re doing well! I’m working on a project where I need to control three DC motors using AutoPosition (two for wheels, one for the neck). I’ve added potentiometers for feedback, but I’m unsure if just the hardware setup will be enough to make these DC motors act like servos, or if additional software/scripts are required.

Also, since the EZ-B controller only has PWM, ground, and 5V pins, how can I connect both the DC motor (with its motor driver) and the potentiometer to one port and still receive feedback?

Would adding the potentiometer allow me to use basic servo limits from the plugin/skill library, or do I need special coding to achieve this?

Looking forward to your guidance!

Best regards, Rudra
