Help With Information On This

Hey everyone!

I purchased this motor controller from a yard sale for a dollar. Figured I could not go wrong if it worked. However the person had no info on the circuit, so I am hoping someone out there could shed some light on it or even give me some specs on this motor controller.

All I know is that it is a dual motor controller that looks like it will work with motors from 5 to 12 volts, but not sure about that.

Thanks in advance for any input and help! User-inserted image

that is a 2.5 amp L298n H-Bridge. Very similar to the one EZ-B sells.

See Rich's excellent tutorial here for wiring and operation instructions: https://synthiam.com/Tutorials/UserTutorials/130/1

Thanks Alan! Yes that is it! I knew someone out there would be able to id it for me so I can get some working info on it. Was looking forward to starting a new robot project this summer and if this circuit works it will do nicely to control the motors I want to use.

One other question I think I remember seeing this controller used in a build with EZ robot videos, do you have the link to that as well?

Several years ago, DJ did a video of using it with the EZ-B V3. He did the PWM connection a little differently than Rich's tutorial, and I recommend Rich's method (which is also what is done in the ROLI revolution robot, which gives individual PWM to each motor, useful if your motors don't spin at exactly the same speed).

There is a video in this tutorial: https://synthiam.com/Tutorials/UserTutorials/72/1

I haven't watched it, so I don't know how useful it will be, but Technopro (I think he changed user names since then) makes good videos.
