Help! I Can'T Connect ARC!

Hi! I'm trying to connect my Brookstone Rover 2.0 to the ARC. I hooked my laptop up to its Wi-Fi and everything went smooth - until I clicked "connect" on the Movement Panel. It didn't connect, and a small message from the bottom of the screen scrolled upwards and it said:

3/25/2014 9:44 PM - Rover Error: System.IO.IOException: Unable to read data from the transport connection: A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or established connection failed because connected host has failed to respond. ---> System.Net.Sockets.SocketException: A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or established connection failed because connected host has failed to respond at System.Net.Sockets.Socket.Receive(Byte[] buffer, Int32 offset, Int32 size, SocketFlags socketFlags) at System.Net.Sockets.NetworkStream.Read(Byte[] buffer, Int32 offset, Int32 size) --- End of inner exception stack trace --- at System.Net.Sockets.NetworkStream.Read(Byte[] buffer, Int32 offset, Int32 size) at System.IO.Stream.ReadByte() at EZ_B.BrookstoneRover.Connect()

Does ANYONE know how to fix this error!? Thanks, Jimmy

AFAIK, ARC doesn't support Version 2 of the Brookstone rover... sorry dude...

Really? That blows. I spent almost three hours last night trying to get it working. Are they working on supporting it, or no?

DJ said at one point they were working on it.... But since every waking moment the team is spent wrapped up in rolling out version 4 of EZ Robot I doubt it will be anytime soon...

+1 for a Brookstone Rover 2.0 support!

It's apparently on the list along with the AR Drone V2.0 however it has been said that priority for supporting third party applications is not high since EZ-Robot has it's own modular platform (currently in pre-order). And as mentioned, every waking moment is being spent getting the Revolution sorted out.

That said, a new third party robot has become supported with the last update so there may be a chance. As far as I can tell, DJ gets a lot of these things done while travelling, waiting for planes, being on planes etc. is a long time to sit down and going by past updates etc. DJ uses this time to improve on ARC, including supporting new features and third party robots.

I'm sure support will come however there may be some waiting required.

Failing that, the EZ-SDK is available and I believe there is an SDK available for the Rover 2.0, if you have programming knowledge/experience you may be able to bridge that gap yourself, or better still bridge it for the whole community :)

I have some programming experience, do you know an SDK for the Rover 2.0?
