Recently got 'Gerrard' my Butler Bot (get it?) up and running after a recent spot of upgrades and noticed that the Bluetooth connection drops regularly after a minute or two. Which it didn't do before he would quite happily sit there for hours watching the TV. I have a Ver 2.1 board fitted saving the my V3 board for another project. Also get occasional messages like upgrade to the latest fimware 15.1 which it is and also the latest EZ-B build 2011.12.11.00.
I realise it could be a host of things like interference on the bluetooth channel laptop issues etc etc just thought I would ask on here as I can't find a solution as yet...
Sounds like low battery power to me. Even if my voltage reads okay, if I use my lipo for awhile the board acts just like what you describe.
I'm still getting this issue the V3 board I have connects and stays connected. I have run them at the same time using one instance of ARC
When using the V2.1 board if I can get it to connect even changing the camera from view to motion detect causes the BT connection to drop so looks like possibly a timing issue maybe??
I'm really aware of the battery power causing problems like this so I will make some more tests over the weekend
Unplug your servos, or at least many of them. Try it again, and see. It'll work fine once you disconnect the items that are drawing power. The V2.1 board doesn't provide as much power with the regulator.
What battery source and power ratings are you providing to the board with the issue?
