Can'T Connect With My EZ Robot

So I have an older Roli that we built six years ago and only just started working with before my laptop died. We dug Roli out tonight and I have a new laptop that I'm trying to link up with it, but it's not working out.

I've got ARC downloaded, and Roli fired up and his light is blue. But he's saying he cannot connect to my network, and when I look for him  on my WiFi, I don't see an option for EZ v4 on my WiFi connections options.

Ideas?

Reset your ezb. Last time you used it, it was connecting to your network. Just power on the robot and press the reset button with a toothpick or paper clip

i recommend visiting ezrobot website and following the tutorials to get started as a refresher. Plus, I star in some of the videos :D

Okay so I reset Roli, and he now shows up in my WiFi list, and I've selected him. Next issue: when I go to connect to him in my workspace, it won't connect and I get this message: EZB 0: EZB 1: EZB 2: EZB 3: EZB 4: Windows version: Microsoft Windows NT 10.0.17134.0 Missing 3D Bit: Don’t dismiss the downloading of libraries that is prompted. Update to the latest ARC. And it appears there’s a firewall or virus scanner. When you receive the error about connecting, there’s a dialog which asks if you’d like to view the connection tutorial. Do that

windows is being more and more locked down these days - and with buggy unnecessary 3rd party virus scanners and firewalls, connection issues arise. You’ll find reference to that in the connection tutorial

Any problem I had connecting was always my anti-virus

Try disconnecting it

My 2 cents

I just changed my home network router and had to rediscover every one of my EZB's in my ARC project. I have 4. When I opened the connection window none of them would show up in the auto discovery window. Then I ran a search through the IP address window and all but one could be found that way. Then I dropped my Windows firewalls and all EZB's then could be auto discovered or manually searched for .

Seems like it is always the anti virus or firewall
