If the camera works and then stops, it is either a faulty connection or network interference. Good news is that the camera is working, which means it must be a faulty connection or lose plug. If you can provide more details of what is happening when the camera disconnects, for example is the robot moving?

A good start would be to look into these solutions:

  1. WiFi interference causing a disconnection. Change the WiFi channel of the EZ-B using the Web Configuration Interface

  2. The plug connecting the Camera to the EZ-B is loose. Ensure the plug is connected securely to the EZ-B and is not damaged.

  3. The plug inside of the camera is not connected securely to the camera and has been pulled out. Use a small philips screw driver and disassemble the camera. Ensure the PCB's are connected and the plug is secure. Be careful not to damage the camera pcb and lens when taking the camera apart.

When Roli is close to the computer it seems to work ok. When it gets more than 20 feet away the freeze problem seems to show up. The Roli hardware appears to be ok. I suspect the real problem is with my older laptop, antivirus software and the dual ban WIFI stick and multi router (booster router) locations. I have started to control Roli with my ipad and that seems to work better but as Roli gets further away or behind something performance seems to drop off. What is a reasonable distance that Roli should effectively work as a WIFI router?

Sorry for the delay in responding, I wasn't clear on the reply practice, not sure I still had problem and work got very busy. Again thanks for the help

That's okay:) there's no rush on responding. An automated message will take care of notifying you so we can make sure you're taken care of.

Wifi range will vary based on the amount of interference and as you mentioned, the laptop wifi hardware. Wifi can be a challenge to diagnose for interference, but is also fun - if you like that sort of thing as I do. There are wifi scan utilities that can be used to show all of the discovered networks and their corresponding channels. Choosing a channel for your ezb that isn't being used, or is least used in your area.
