Battery Charging Incorrectly

I attempted to charge my robot's standard 2 cell 7.49 volt battery, but I received the error of "300 MV difference between charger and battery." I was using the standard included battery charger. I visited the forums to investigate this problem and was told that disconnecting the battery from the robot would help it charge, instead, I received the Error, "The battery connects incorrectly." I don't know if there is something up with the charger, or if it's the battery having been drained to low. to anyone who replies to this post to help me through this problem, you have my thanks.

if you want to fix it manually (without another charger) you will need a multi-meter and small toy motor 1.5-6v.

if you have both i can provide more steps.

Thanks for the solution ptp, I have both of these and I thought I could use a multi meter to charge the battery above 300 MV. Unfortunately, i do not have either with me right now, I will regain access to them soon.
