I just stumbled onto this today, and after some discussion with my fiancee, we have a argument to settle. Now I understand the new box might be more expensive then the old one, but how much was the old set for EZ-Robot? She believes it was uber-expensive and I don't think so.
LOL, hello! Not to pick sides, but your better half was wrong The EZ-Robot Complete Kit was only $169 and included 6 servos, camera, EZ-B Controller, Software, Battery Adapter, Distance Sensor and a variety of mounting hardware.
Although Revolution consists of complete robot components, there will still be a developer kit for hobbyists. The developer kit will be priced similar to the previous kit - and include more features... Such as integrated audio and WIFI.
:)
Unlike other robot companies who confuse their customers with difficult software and partially complete hardware... EZ-Robot provides a unified robot solution. With Revolution, this means a modular Lego-like platform to assemble any style of robot. We believe in high quality and high quantity. That means selling more for less
Glad to welcome you aboard!
Can't wait, I have so many ideas ranging from a Weebo ( http://24.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_m8byypdgL91rql53mo1_500.jpg ) type robot that conducts translation services, to a standard, everyday, every user probably has one, R2 unit.
Oh, that's a neat robot idea! there are only a few R2 units on here...
