Hi, I'm new here and i want to build my JD robot. I'll print all its parts by 3D printer but I am not able to know what components I need neither which microcontroller to use. Thanks in advance for your help
If you are printing all the parts these are the electronic parts :
1 x EZB V4 Controller https://www.ez-robot.com/Shop/AccessoriesDetails.aspx?prevCat=9&productNumber=40
1 x RGB Leds (JD'Eyes) https://synthiam.com/Shop/AccessoriesDetails.aspx?prevCat=9&productNumber=1358
1 x EZ Camera https://www.ez-robot.com/Shop/AccessoriesDetails.aspx?prevCat=9&productNumber=1351
12 x Analog Servos: https://synthiam.com/Shop/AccessoriesDetails.aspx?prevCat=9&productNumber=7
4 x Digital Servos (Neck & Hands): https://synthiam.com/Shop/AccessoriesDetails.aspx?prevCat=9&productNumber=13
1 x Lipo Battery: https://synthiam.com/Shop/AccessoriesDetails.aspx?productNumber=41
1 x Lipo Battery Charger: https://www.ez-robot.com/Shop/AccessoriesDetails.aspx?prevCat=103&productNumber=42
You can get better deals combining the existent combos with other components: EZB + Camera: https://synthiam.com/Shop/AccessoriesDetails.aspx?prevCat=9&productNumber=1361
EZ-B v4/2 Developer Kit: https://synthiam.com/Shop/AccessoriesDetails.aspx?prevCat=9&productNumber=2
*** EDIT *** Change: 4 digital servos
Thank you very much for providing that list of components @ptp Much appreciated!
I just wanted to clarify that it's 4 x Digital servos, 2 for the neck and 2 for the grippers
And we don't sell it on our website but a wiring harness is needed as well.
Thanks for the reply. I have 2 more questions, if I am not able to buy the v4 controller, which available controller can I use instead of it. Second one, the code of this robot is available as open source or no ? And if yes where can I find it ?
EZB Controller executes actions generated from a Windows Desktop or a Phone/Tablet running ARC software.
ARC software only supports EZR controllers: EZ-B or IoTiny. To avoid compatibility issues i advise the use of EZR servos with EZR controllers.
The JD's program is not code per see, is an "open" project single file, there are some EZ-Scripts inside similar to Basic Language (no C code) and only runs on ARC.
To summarize, if you don't have plans to use an EZB controller, the JD's "open" project is useless.
If you are curious you can download and install ARC and download JD and other "open" projects from the EZR cloud.
