Ive been adding parts to bit-builder as described, but now ive made changes & changed some parts that arent required. How do i remove/modify these, Thanks
The bit builder is a bit undeveloped. It never really took off, considering how many online 3D designer tools there are. So, to update an existing bit, you have to recreate it and save it with the same name (I think). Otherwise create a v2 of it.
The main issue we never completed was editing because once people start building with your bits if they change, it changes their build. So I think that's why we left it as is.
If u can't save with the same name and overwrite, create a new one called V2. V3. V4... so on
Figured it out. Few steps required, you need to click Library > Manage > Refresh > Click the part > Delete
Thanks for trying to help DJ Sures
Definatley Under-developed Though, 95% of the project has to go into miscellaneous, as you have bodies ezb v3, bodies ezb v4, bodies IOTiny feet hands head misc sensors, servos, no legs, thighs, arms, etc.. Its a shame, but ill work through it..
Yup, incredibly difficult to model a humanoid robot, with hands, arms, legs, head, etc.. then trying to align all the parts, with pins, screws.. i need a rethink..
It’s interesting after 10 years of that but builder. This is the first conversation about using it. I was told at the time of creating it that it was ahead of its time. So maybe now’s the time for something like it.
it’s really designed to be a library of parts - not really for much more
yeah, to be honest, I loaded the "JD-Bare" project and love seeing an image of the robot, wondered how to use it, so i can share a robot when my servos come. Im used to designing in "Tinkercad" which uses the middle mouse for manipulating the camera, The Builder is is like a C&C template, clicking up and down multiple times. If they added easier "camera manipulating" there would be many more robots uploaded..
