Xbox 360 Wireless Controller

I've got a question . I'm trying to hook up an Xbox 360 wireless controller. I have the transciever and all. When I try to connect to it , it won't conect. I went to the microsoft site and did all the trouble shooting............................... I keep getting an error message that the drivers did not load. Is there somewhere I can get updated drivers??? The Microsoft website is next to useless. Can't find a way to contact tech support. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Lloyd

Hello Lloyd,

You can check out this thread that was started about xbox 360 controllers and there's a link to the drivers in the first post.

By the way, did you happen to install the drivers before or after you plugged the receiver in? You may have to clear the registry if you plugged it in before loading the drivers. Here's a no-brainer question, but it has to be asked, did you select the correct driver for your operating system (ex: win7 64-bit)?

As for calling tech support you can probably call 1-800-4MYXBOX as it is a XBOX 360 device, or if they won't help you maybe they can give you a number to someone that will.

If worse comes to worse I could probably attach a set of the third party drivers that I have for my XBOX 360 controller receiver from Deal Extreme.

Thanks skater I'll try downloading the drivers first and see if that works. If not I'll get in touch with you.
