Some time ago I built a system with 3 freetrack infrared LED and a webcam modified for head tracking and used in the flight simulator, the software is free and there are tutorials page to manufacture everything.
I found an interesting alternative for robot control. I have not tried with ARC nor if supported but worth looking.
Looks promising. I wish I had the time to try this out.
