Has anyone hacked one of these yet with EZB and H-bridge? The specs are impressive,better than a kidding ride in car and it can hold an adult weight for 9 miles so I'm betting would make the best robot mobility platform,prices are cheap now too.Long last Li-ion battery charges back up faster than the old Lead acid batteries.How the heck could EZ controller steer this?

he does not know how to hold his cell camera properly but possibly the wires could easily be tapped into the motors for an H-bridge but unsure until I get a broken one off ebay cheap and open it up. Now in this other video he shows the contact switches that steer the motors so could possibly just wire those to EZ digital ports using my own contact switches and not sure if those motors are regular or 360 continuous servos but will try to find more info.

After watching some repair vids it does look like these are heavy duty brushless motors built inside the wheel it self!! Not sure if this could be good or bad with amount of dirt and water outside ,I need to see how good the Motor is sealed in there.The Wheel/motor can also be bought for about $50.00 plus shipping but also they are heavy so shipping may be a killer,then the border tax/duties can add up, thinking I can buy the whole hover board in a store near me and just H bridge the motors. A Sabertooth that can handle more voltage and current as these are powerful motors.
Okay so Google can sometimes really be a friend instead of a Giant collection agency run by the CIA and spying on us through every cell phone and TV,LOL! Well I do think these guys were over thinking the hack,I know where I can buy the motor wheels at a local scooter repair store near me so a Sabertooth should be able to do direct control of the drive motors. Then just add dummy front wheels to support the larger robot of choice. There is a Marine deep cycle SLA battery at 12 volts (X3) that could provide enough juice to last all day and is small at 18 pounds ,3 would be needed that would weigh at 54 pounds ,could carry a larger sized robot and have enough power to go all terrain outside. If not you can buy the 36 volt LI-ON battery on Ebay just for the Hover wheel power. I won't know until I try this hack but in my head it looks good,LOL!

Thanks for sharing this info. As far as overthinking; Sometimes good, sometimes bad. IN any case I figure you can't ever look at too many options.
