I know, you are probably thinking "We just gave them a miracle and they still aren't satisfied."
But, seriously, just a suggestion:
We now have a simple snap together piece added on to each module. Now, we need a simple three pin electrical part that will send the signal up from the gripper and wrist and elbo and shoulder to the EZB. I hope I am making it where you could understand it. But, why not have a connector that will not require any wires, just a snap and it will have voltage and ground and maybe have more than one signal on the little snap part. Then you would have no wires to get tangled, smashed, crossovered,unplugged.
Hard to explain what I see in my minds eye. But, WIRELESS SNAP TOGETHER PARTS. Not exactly wireless signal, but the circuit built in to the bracket or servo.
like your idea. maybe snap cables add ons...

Until such time as EZrobot takes your excellent suggestion, you could do it yourself by buying a bunch of pogo pins and drilling little holes for them, and wiring them up on the inside. Probably actually want pins on one side and metal strips on the other so you don't need to exactly match up pins on both parts.

zap straps are not working for ya? they come in all sorts of colors ;)
I have never heard of a zap strap.
OK, we call them ziplock. But, they won't carry a signal.
re: zap straps. He was just saying you can use them for cable management to prevent pulled/crimped cables, not as signal wires.

moviemaker, we attempted to go that route but the price of the components would be through the roof... which would make the robots cost a fortune!
At least you have the capabilities. That means that in the future this will cost less and be feasable. :D
Hopefully in a year we can do that :D
I doubt the v4 controller will get outdated for a LONG time. it's pretty remarkable!
You could do this easily if you had some conductive plastic.
